Abstract

Borax Using Analisis at the Wet Noodles in the Market of Blang Pidie, the district of Aceh Barat Daya 2014. This research Under the is guidance of Mr. Jun Musnadi Is SKM, M. Kes and Mrs. Marniati SKM, M. Kes. Borax is a white crystalline compound odorless and stable at normal temperatures and pressures. At the moment there are some people using borax in food processing such as wet noodles, it makes noodles don’t perishable, supple and more interesting. However, borax is harmful for health because it cause different types of disease. This research aims to determine whether there is the content of borax in a wet noodle market in Blang Pidie district of Aceh Barat Daya. This research is a descriptive study through laboratory testing on the 15th september 2014. It was conducted at the market Blang Pidie district of Aceh Barat Daya, then be tested in the laboratory and Science Department of Chemistry, University of Banda Aceh. The population in this research were all wet noodle vendors in the market Blang Pidie, they are 6 of traders wet noodle, while samples were taken to the 6-trader wet noodle market in Blang Pidie district of Aceh Barat Daya. The results showed that 6 samples tested in the Science Laboratory the Department of Chemistry University of Banda Aceh, borax contains is negative. Based on the results of this study concluded that 6-sample of the wet noodles are not contain borax safe and secure of the danger of borax. It is accordance with Permenkes RI No. 033 in 2012. The researcher suggest to traders to keep produced wet noodles for presentation of public health. The government have to give educating about the dangers of Borax for health. For costumers, they have to selected when they choice the wet noodles and keep watching about noodles’ characteristic.
